ANZA Technology Network’s recommendations addressed a growing need for Australian innovative technology companies to access global capital, networks and expertise. The venture environment in Australia is an important factor in creating the right pre-requisites for companies to achieve global success.
ANZA Technology Network continues to play a greater role in building a vibrant network in the US for Australian and New Zealand technology companies. Furthermore, as ANZA Technology Network is recognized as one of the leading networks of senior technology executives in the region it can assist Australian technology companies find the talent and expertise required for them to go global. We are interested in your thoughts on how ANZA Technology Network can play a role in the worthy goal of building global technology from our region.

Mobile Gaming - A Global Perspective
ANZA Technology Network in conjunction with the Passport Group presents a panel of some of the Valley's leading Mobile Gaming experts. Mobile gaming has come from obscurity to reality in less than five years. A recent AT Kearney Study conducted in 13 countries around the world revealed that 10% of the mobile users surveyed had downloaded a game; that’s more than all the video game consoles in the world today. And while forecasts vary widely, it is generally believed that the Global market will grow from an estimated $1 Billion in 2004 to between $6-$8 Billion by 2008. Even the major video game companies are finally seeing the market potential, as evidenced by Electronics Arts recent announcement that it will enter the fray.
Scandinavia is one of the hot regions in the mobile gaming development industry. It is also no secret that the US market has lagged behind other major markets in Europe, Japan and Korea and in both 3G technology as well as consumer adoption. However, with Americans obsession with entertainment and the disposal income to match how long will this last.
Here are some of the questions that the panel of experts will address:
• Where does the US stand in the Global competition for mobile game revenues?
• Who will be the Global Leader in 2008?
• What impact will the new hand set technology have on the industry?
• What type of Games are consumers downloading around the world?
Join gaming industry executives and others interested in mobile gaming for a fun evening with opportunities for networking, partnering, finding business, good food and an informative and spirited discussion of the fastest growing entertainment market in the world today.

» Alumni News: NetPriva Takes Reins From Foursticks
“Competitor’s reports of the death of the Foursticks technology have been greatly exaggerated!”
Effective 7 June 2005, Australian company, NetPriva Pty Ltd completed the purchase of the Foursticks Net Prioritizer assets. Included in the purchase are the patents, trade marks, logos, web domains, and the NP software developed by Foursticks.
NetPriva has hired most of the team that worked at Foursticks in recent times. NetPriva's CEO is Alan Noble, the former Chief Technology Officer at Foursticks. Head of Engineering is Simon Jolly. Customer Support is in the hands of Christina Szantyr. Alisdair Faulkner will look after NetPriva's local Australian customers and partners. NetPriva's German speaking markets will be looked after by Martin Schulz and Barbara Troeller, while John Arriola will focus on the other country markets in Europe. Denny Engels is Technical Manager for NetPriva in Europe.
The NetPriva board is headed by Executive Chairman, Peter Vroom, who is also Director of Sales and Marketing. Besides Peter and Alan, the board has two non executive directors being Bernie Snoek who is Managing Director of Turbosoft a software company selling to global markets, and Mark Hender who is the Managing Director of Itek, the commercialisation arm of the University of South Australia.
NetPriva will have a total focus on developing the global business opportunity for the NP technology and products which has attracted customers such as Adecco, BG Phoenix, Bridgestone, Hardy Wines, KBR Halliburton, Orlando, Saab Systems, Santos, smart car, and VW Bank. NetPriva has attracted investors in Australia, Europe, and the US, including new investors as well as previous Foursticks investors who continue to back the team and the technology. Two of the investors are distributors of the product and are demonstrating their confidence in the NetPriva team and the NP products. NetPriva will offer 'business as usual' sales and technical support.
The NetPriva website is at www.NetPriva.com. The Foursticks download and support sites and Foursticks based email addresses will continue to operate for a period of time.
NetPriva will release a significant new version of NP Gateway and new products, NP Collector and NP Agent, in beta form later in June. We expect these new products to be very attractive to customers as they will extend the reach of per second monitoring, reporting, and traffic shaping to the end user and individual application .exe level.
NetPriva looks forward to making the investment in NP a total success storyfor you!
